Builder-President Joe Grothues grew up in the lumber and building material business.  He built his own first home at 20 years of age, and participated in the building of homes and commercial properties over the years.  In 1997 he started Cedar Creek Homes, Inc. to build custom homes in Seguin, Lake McQueeney and New Braunfels.  He moved to the Hill Country in 1999, where he lives and works today. 

The building process can be stressful, but we go out of our way to make the process as smooth as possible, by keeping you informed of the progress on your home; what to expect next week or next month; and what decisions (colors, counter tops, etc.) need to be made. 

Before construction begins, a detailed analysis of the final plans is made.  Will your refrigerator fit in the space allowed?  Are the electrical outlets in appropriate locations?  Are there enough?   Do you have future plans, like a pool or new family member, that can be prepared for now?

Throughout construction, informal meetings are held to look over the progress and review final choices for flooring, appliances, etc. Your concerns and input are actively sought and addressed throughout the construction of your home.
